Tempting II

Jenna Adorno designs simple classic yet hip chic knitwear. I have picked several of her patterns for my "To Do List", but this is the first to hit the needles. Jenna was a dear and emailed me quickly about adding short rows and after some swatching I decided to skip the wrap, but add short rows. In hind sight, I should have added more or added them differently. Next time I will. For now, here it is. Tempting II knit in KnitPicks Shine Sport on size 6 (US) needles. It's a very easy knit, a great summer top and I highly recommend it for anyone. The bra (for my Ample Knits sisters) is Jeunique style 73193. No underwire, no padding, just me and a lot of support.

Very Nice

I like how it's not sliding off teh shoulders. Did you fold in the neckline or pick up and knit on smaller needles?

instead of following the directions, which I did the 1st time (yes, I knit the entire band then frogged it!). I K3tog, 2 of the sweater with the last of the ribbed band.

Fantastic and tempting, too! (pun intended!) heehee!
I've got to do one of these, it's just on the 'roun-to-it list, as in,"I'll have to get around to it sooner or later." That's a beautiful shade of blue. Good choice for you, you look lovely.

OOOh, so glad to hear that knitpicks shine works well with this pattern. I have some and NOW I know what I am going to make with it.

It looks GREAT on you.

How did you modify the pattern to add the short rows? I was thinking of doing the same thing.

The short rows were added using measurments from my body. I CO 160 (the size for my hips/waist/ribcage and gauge with Shine) and added the short rows to increase the bust 10 inches. I am not happy with the wraps, but that's my knitting problem, not the pattern. I ended up adding short rows at 12 inches from the bottom, 2 short rows, one of 10 wrapped stitches and one of 6 wrapped stitches. I used in the information from Knitty and White Lies Designs Shapely Tank for basic instructions, but modified them to fit my body. hope this helps.
